In a heartfelt move to “humanize automation,” financial juggernaut CrediTrust Incorporated proudly debuted LayoffBot 2.0—an AI “empathy solution” programmed to eliminate jobs with dignity, efficiency, and optional background music.
“Humans just weren’t scalable,” said CEO Bryan Coldwell, who reportedly replaced his own therapist with ChatGPT Plus. “LayoffBot delivers compassionate terminations at a fraction of the emotional overhead.”
The bot’s comforting phrases include: “Your role has been spiritually optimized,” and “We’re excited to see what’s next for you—outside the organization.” Employees receive a QR code for résumé templates, a $10 DoorDash credit, and a digital hug shaped like a stock graph.
Users can select a termination tone: Warm Corporate, Quiet Disappointment, or Gary from Accounting Energy. Early results were mixed. One unit tried to fire a houseplant for “low engagement,” while another promoted itself to Vice President of Feelings.
When asked if leadership might also be automated, Coldwell smiled confidently. “Impossible,” he said. “Robots lack the moral flexibility required for management.”
As morale tanks and efficiency soars, CrediTrust remains optimistic. According to HR’s new mission statement—authored by LayoffBot itself—“We value all humans. Until further notice.”
